Hello everyone I'm back..... I know it's been a while since I wrote but been very busy with everything that was going on. So come sit for a short spell and have a cup of Joe with me , so we can catch up.
First I hope everyone got stuffed and had a great Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas.
I have been working more hours, and crocheting like a mad man to get things made to give as Christmas gifts, so much that I thought my hands were going to fall off . here is some of the things I did...

Then I seen some infinity scarves I liked and thought ...hum I can do that for gifts ... so I made... and made.... and made and made some more. all total I believe I made about 10. here is some of the ones I did ...

This first one was missing for 3 days before we found her stuck in twine up in the barn under a roll of hay. If it hadn't been raining that day I would never have found her because I usually feed the cats on the porch due to possums and racoons coming in the barn and eating up all their food . But it was raining and I didn't want the food to get wet and wasted so I went to feed them in the barn this time and heard her meowing like she was calling for help. I climbed up on the rolls all the way to the the back of the barn and down into a little spot where I could barely see her. I tried coaxing her out with no success, so I tried to gently pull her out and discovered she was hooked on something so I started digging and throwing hay everywhere to try to get to her to get her loose. It took us 2 more days to get her unstuck.
Cant really see her foot to good in this picture but she dont like me touching it See the twine that was wrapped around her foot so tight it cut off the circulation. I had to unwrap it like a bread tie just to get it off of her foot . Once I got it off it just curled right back up as you can see from the pic and now she is loosing her foot from it .
Then I got this other kitty that wouldn't stay here and had been staying at an old abandoned farm house ( because all the other cats here picked on her) I went up every day to feed it and it didn't come out like it usually did so I looked around for her. I heard her meowing and finally found her and she couldn't walk or stand, and had blood coming from her behind. I thought she had gotten kicked by a cow or hit by a car. So I took her to the vet and she has a busted pelvic, and didn't give me much hope for her surviving . So I brought her back home, thinking she wasn't going to make it but I'll make her as comfortable as possible for the time she has left. She is adapting to being inside and slowly on the mend, which really surprised me. She walks now but her left leg tips inward and she drags her foot and walks with it curled this is her, resting on a pillow ...She has a strong will to live and I'm so glad I didn't and couldn't put her down ....
I got another hurt kitty that has a big hole that is slowly healing on her back. Honey says it looks like a fox or coyote tried to grab it and ripped a big hole in its back which I'm not going to show a picture of because it's gross looking , lets just say that kitty was VERY LUCKY to still be alive!!
I know I bet you are asking yourself right now... how many cats does this women have???? Well put it this way... I have a lot less now than I did, I have 18 cats now and 1 dog.
2 years ago I had 52 outside cats I was taking care of , some were mine but most were strays that mine brought home, babies of mine, and ones that people dropped off because they didn't want any more . Me being an animal lover and soft hearted I couldn't let them starve so I feed them, watch over them and take care of them the best I can.
With the help of a local animal group they helped me get them all fixed and tipped their ears so anyone who sees them knows they are fixed and part of the TNR ( Trap, Neuter, and Release) program and they even helped me find good homes for some of them. A lot came up missing I believe it was due to the coyotes around here as well as being hit by cars because they wouldn't get out of the roads.
Any way...... I hope you all are doing good, and I thank you for stopping by my blog here once again to have coffee with me .I'll try not to make it so long between me writing here and sharing a cup of joe with you all . That's going to be my New Years resolution .... to write more and share more, along with still crafting and spreading smiles... Well I'm off to play with my new sewing machine that I got for Christmas to see what sewing crafts I can come up with now ..... Till next time, keep smiling and have a great day and Happy New Year Everyone .... See you next year :-)
